Thank you for taking the time to check out my portfolio which includes my most recent creative pursuits. I love to think, learn, problem solve, create and encourage others, and all of the projects here are an expression of those traits.

I make things, I share them, I learn from them, and then I repeat.

Everything you'll find here is a work in progress. I am constantly learning, growing, and editing. Thank you again, and please let me know if you have any questions or would like to share something of yours!

Extraordinary Joes

I've always enjoyed a good podcast, but after several years of listening to different shows that had superstar hosts and superstar guests, I wanted to create something for the "ordinary" listener. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty to learn from those who are in the public eye doing great things with their lives and their careers. But I wanted a chance to hear from the Extraordinary Joes of the world. The podcast helps tell the extraordinary stories, of ordinary people, just like you and me.

I've had an absolute blast, and learned so much from creating this podcast from the ground up, including booking guests, asking better questions, learning how to host, editing the show, and promoting the episodes. There is so much to learn from the people right around us, and it's been very refreshing to share the stories, lessons, and encouragements of these "ordinary" people.

Originally written as a collection of encouragements to a group of middle school girls I had coached in basketball as they began their high school careers, Be Kind grew up to become a real live book.

I learned a great deal during the process of writing, organizing, editing, marketing, and publishing this book, and look forward to writing the next one.

My writing flows from my reading, my experiences, and through conversations with people smarter and more interesting than myself.

I enjoy writing about leadership, culture, parenting and personal growth, in a way that encourages and uplifts others.

Purpose Project Cover 2022 - Cover.jpeg

The Purpose Project was created to help college students and young adults have the space and guidance to consider important personal topics. With the belief that young people make better, more beneficial decisions when they do so based on their strengths, values, and how they want to impact the world around them, this framework was created to help them do just that.

Would You_ - Personal - Untitled Page.jpeg

Would You challenges individuals to see the possibilities of their goals and their dreams, and to take action, however small it may seem, to get closer to those things.

Best Year Ever takes the concepts from The Purpose Project, and packages them for middle school students in a manner that is student friendly, respectful of time constraints and attention span, and easy to digest. This framework has been used by middle school counselors in small groups and in one on one sessions.
